President's Message
Looking Ahead with Purpose
President's Message
Jasminder Singh Gholia
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,
Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest greetings to all visitors of the Sikh Missionary Society Singapore website.
Since its founding in 1940, our Society has stood as a beacon of Sikh values, education and service. Our pioneers who were led by Bhag Singh and a dedicated team of community leaders laid a firm foundation rooted in Gurmat sewa (selfless service) and parchar (spreading the message of the Gurus). Through their vision, Sikh literature flourished in multiple languages. Punjabi education was strengthened and countless Sikhs across Malaya, including Singapore and Peninsula Malaysia, found the inspiration to live by the teachings of our Gurus.
Today, under my term as Chairman (2025–2027), I am honoured to lead this organisation in its next chapter. We remain guided by the same principles that inspired our founders. In a world that continues to evolve rapidly, our mission is to preserve Sikh heritage, nurture the next generation through education and foster unity within the global Sikh community. We are proud to continue supporting Sikh learning, language programmes and spiritual development through our publications, outreach efforts and collaborative initiatives.
As we look ahead, the Society reaffirms its commitment to serve with humility, transparency and devotion. I invite all Sikhs, particularly the young, the middle-aged and the elders to join hands with us in keeping the flame of Gurmat alive for generations to come.
May Waheguru bless our efforts and guide us always on the path of truth, compassion and service.
In Chardi Kala,
Jasminder Singh Gholia
