The Sikh Missionary Society (SMS) was honoured to be invited as a guest speaker for the ongoing Sikhi Intermediate Course at the Sikh Centre. Representing SMS, our lecturer Jagmanjit Singh delivered a comprehensive session on two pivotal chapters of Sikh history: the Chhota Ghallughara (the Lesser Holocaust) and the life and martyrdom of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji.
Through his lecture, participants were guided to reflect on the immense courage, sacrifices, and spiritual resilience of the Sikh community during these defining moments. The discourse provided detailed insights into the historical context of the Chhota Ghallughara, emphasizing the steadfastness of the Sikhs in the face of persecution. It also illuminated the inspiring legacy of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji, whose unwavering devotion to the Guru Granth Sahib and ultimate sacrifice at the Battle of Amritsar continue to serve as a beacon of faith and commitment.
The session was deeply appreciated by attendees, who expressed that it enriched their understanding of Sikh history and inspired them to embody the values of devotion, resilience, and unwavering faith in their own lives.
For SMS, this invitation was a meaningful opportunity to contribute to Sikh education and to strengthen collective appreciation of our heritage. The positive response from participants reaffirmed the importance of such engagements in nurturing knowledge, reflection, and inspiration within the community.
ਸਿੱਖ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਇੰਟਰਮੀਡੀਏਟ ਕੋਰਸ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਸਿੱਖ ਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੀ ਸਸਾਇਟੀ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਲੈਕਚਰਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੈਸਟ ਲੈਕਚਰਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੋਟਾ ਘੱਲੂਘਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਬਾਬਾ ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਲੈਕਚਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਦਭੁੱਤ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ, ਹਿੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਤਾਕਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾਦਾਇਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਬਾਬਾ ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ, ਅਟੱਲ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਦੇ ਜੀਵੰਤ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
